The Saudi tourist eVisa asks for a small digital photo with strict limits. If any of them is off, the upload is refused. Here's what is required.

The requirements

RuleRequirement
Size200 × 200 pixels, square
File size5 to 100 KB
BackgroundPlain white, no pattern, no shadows
Face70–80% of the frame, from chin to top of head, both ears visible
Age of photoTaken in the last 6 months

Why 200 × 200 is tricky

A phone photo is rectangular and thousands of pixels wide. To get 200 × 200 you need to crop it to a square around your face and then shrink it, without cutting off the chin or the top of the head. The Saudi visa photo maker does both: drag and zoom so your face fits the guide, and it saves an exact 200 × 200 JPG under 100 KB.

Tips for a photo that's accepted

Apply only through the official Saudi visa platform and follow the instructions shown there, as rules can change. Also available باللغة العربية.
